Tom Lee:  Child with a Cough

Case

Tom Lee is an 7 year old male who comes in with his mother Brenda Lee. Tom had a persistent dry cough for several months despite three courses of antibiotics.

Questions to Consider

  • What additional information do you want?
  • What are the most important components of the physical exam of this patient?
  • What labs/studies are indicated?
  • What treatment would you initiate?
